Political issues

UNOF is actively advocating their members’ interests in different fora. Through other large youth organizations, UNOF is lobbying for better terms for non-profit organizations for children and youth.

Specifically, UNOF is advocating musical training for children and youth with focus on orchestras and ensemble playing. In addition, UNOF facilitates children and youth´s ability to influence their own organization and development.

UNOF receives funding from the Ministry of Children, Equality and Social Inclusion.

National orchestras and summer music camps

UNOF organizes two national orchestras for children and youth: Norwegian Youth Symphony Orchestra (NUSO) and Norwegian Children Symphony Orchestra (NBSO).

In addition, during the summer months, there are 14 different music camps in different parts of Norway organized by UNOF members.
